“It is when we are in transition that we are
most completely alive.”
– William Bridges
Topics include:
- Aging, aging parents, loss of parents, career changes
Transitions in life occur every day. In most instances help and support while those transitions are occurring can be helpful. You may be in the midst of a transition in your life today – sometimes you will be aware that a dimension in your life is changing – like when you are setting a goal to change jobs, reaching a goal and planning next steps or even doing things like relocating to another location.
At other times the transition may be more gradual – for instance aging, setting new life goals, caregiving or working with an aging parent, even dealing with health concerns for you or a loved one.
And then there are those abrupt changes that occur, the unplanned, unintentional changes that can impact many dimensions in your life – things like divorce or job loss, the loss of a loved one, friend or beloved pet – can all leave you feeling disoriented and wondering if you can negotiate through the current situation.
Dimension Counseling will help you identify your strengths and work with you to build on those strengths so that you can move forward in a positive way. We will also help you identify barriers and work with you to plan ways to overcome those in a realistic way that uses your strengths.
If you find yourself in a transition today, please make an appointment to meet and talk about how we can work with you as you move through your transitions.
